Work starts on new £3.5m Scunthorpe housing estateWork has started on building Scunthorpe’s newest housing estate at a cost of £3.5 million. The investment by the Scunthorpe-based housing association Ongo Homes will see the former Albert Marson Court block of flats and shops turned into 27 houses.

Plans are in place for a new sports and leisure complex which aims to boost tourism in North Lincolnshire. The site earmarked for the major investment is the 560-acre Off-Road Centre in Kirton in Lindsey and planning approval is now being sought.
