Grimsby. 11th March 1961. Landing day. And the end of the Cod War. Since 1958 the men have been going to sea with the threat of war looming over them. But now they’re free, they’re back in town and they’re ready to head down to the ship’s disco.

And of course, there’s the women they left behind…

It will be 7 years before the triple trawler tragedy, it will be 11 before the second cod war and 15 before the fishing industry collapses on itself all together. The fishing community of Grimsby have been forgotten by all, society and government alike, and yet they are, still to this day, 115 times more likely to suffer injury than any other workforce. Their story needs to be told and Grimm is here to do it.

After its sold out 2023 hit preview, Grimm returns promising laughs, scrapes and a whole heap of fish – this is Grimsby as it was. So, grab your mate, skipper or loved one and meet us at the ship’s disco where there’s a pint with your name on it!

Pink by Vicky Jackson

Comments Off on Pink by Vicky Jackson

Following her sold-out debut at Docks Academy, Pink by Vicky Jackson returns on Saturday 11th October 2025!

Vicky Jackson’s Tribute to Pink has been a run-away success and has consistently been her most booked act since 2008. Whilst the Pink Tribute show was not her first tribute act, Vicky found herself being compared both physically and vocally when performing Pink songs during her solo shows, so a tribute act to Pink seemed like a very natural step. It quickly became Vicky’s signature act.

A massive Pink fan herself, Vicky has regularly attended her UK concerts to search for inspiration for her tribute shows. She has worked closely with costume makers in order to replicate a range of costumes that not only keep her Pink Tribute Show bang up-to-date, but one that also gives audience members less familiar with Pink’s later work some ‘classic looks’ making the show accessible to everyone in the room. Cleverly edited medleys enable Vicky to pack such a huge back catalog into a high energy and engaging show.

The quality of Faizan’s joke writing, and affable stage presence has seen him progress quickly from beating Comedy Store’s King Gong and Frog and Bucket’s Beat the Frog to now breaking through the circuit with a strong 20 minute set and performing at both those venues pro weekend gigs in under 2 years. We believe Faizan to be one of the most exciting new acts to come out of Manchester for a few years.
