Barton Upon Humber Town Award 2026

Barton upon Humber Town Council’s Town Award for 2025 will continue with the Wendy Witter Town Award for Organisations, along with the usual Young Person’s award (under 18) and Town Award.

The Award is presented annually to a resident or organisation within the community for work or action of merit. This will be a small thank you to the people who have helped our community or members of it, without expectation of reward or thanks. The winner will receive a silver cup to be held for one year, together with a certificate and keepsake, the award will be presented by the Mayor of Barton upon Humber.

Last year’s Town Award winner was Anthony Berridge who was nominated for “being a tireless, enthusiastic and dedicated campaigner for the retention and promotion of the Friends of the Barton Line”. The winner of the Wendy Witter Town Award for Organisations was awarded to the Barton Inclusive Football club for “going above and beyond teaching football to all on a voluntary basis, welcoming people of all ages, abilities, disabilities and backgrounds” while the Young Person Award winner was Ellie Ariss who was nominated for “inspiring others with her positive attitude, team work and demonstrating outstanding commitment within both school and the local community”.

If you know someone who has:
• Served within an organisation for many years
• Acted over and above the call of duty
• Helped the aged, or infirm
• Guided and helped youth and children
• Performed acts of courage
• Contributed to our community or persons within it
